Cycling is a must at Lake Annecy. A greenway runs along the western shore of the lake, then escapes in the direction of Ugine. It is also possible to continue along the eastern shore to circle the lake. Two 18-hole golf courses on the lakeshore also boast breathtaking views: the Lac d’Annecy golf course at Talloires, and the Giez golf course.

Pure lake water
To discover the lake from the air, paragliding initiation courses and baptisms are offered from the Col de la Forclaz, one of the most beautiful spots in France. Hiking offers splendid views of the lake.
The water, which can reach 26°C in summer, is a delight for swimmers, who can also enjoy all kinds of water sports: sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, diving…
Lake Annecy can also be explored on a cruise or by omnibus service from one port to another. The latter are open to pleasure boating and offer boat rentals.
Exceptional panoramas
The Col de la Forclaz lookout above Talloires, at 1150 m altitude, offers a bird’s-eye view of the lake. A path leads to a second lookout with views of the surrounding peaks.
Shortly after Veyrier du lac, a path leads to Mont Veyrier, a 5-hour round trip. At the summit, you can admire a plunging view of Annecy and the Grand Lac, framed by the peaks of the Bauges, the Entrevernes mountain and the Semnoz.
The Semnoz massif boasts numerous viewpoints. The Crêt de Chatillon, the highest point of the Semnoz at 1699 m, offers a panoramic view of the western Alps: the Haut Faucigny, Mont-Blanc, Vanoise, Ecrins and Aiguilles d’Arves massifs…
